Nicola Weiss

Born in Germany and raised in Switzerland before moving to Southern California at age 17, my mother instilled in me a love of cooking and family. (Not to mention a habit of never sticking strictly to a recipe!)

 

Today I have a family of 5 kids with my husband, and I love to cook for them. I'm always trying to find interesting new dishes and flavors the suit my family's palette. It can be hard when you're a professional in STEM education, volunteering at school, sports and activities, and generally being a a committed wife and mother.

 

My husband? He's a Formula One racing fan. And when my daughter introduced me to Lando Norris, I too was hooked by the sport. So I combined my new love with my existing one for cooking. Rather than simply watching the races, I figured we could get a taste of them too. 

 

That's how the Grand Prix Palate was born.
